Today was the first day of summer school....and yes, Matthew was SUPER excited to show off his new David Cook shirt :-) I finally heard his song on the radio the other day too. Another exciting moment is Matthew finally going 'solo' on his bike! After mastering the bike with training wheels last year...he didn't fair to well with them off. He fell a few times, lost confidence and freaked out and wouldn't get on it again. So, last week he got a new bike, helmet, elbow pads, knee pads and wrist pads and before he could say no...he was out on his new bike. I was inside, peering in from the window trying not to make him nervous. Trust me, I was nervous enough for the both of us. Next thing I know...he was riding down the street!....he fell twice that I saw that day and hit the trash can just once. (yes...I laughed till I cried!) I am so proud of him!!

Love the shirt!!! Great job with the 2 wheeler- I'm nervous for you. We have training wheels and even that makes me nervous. I think I preferred the tricycles. Just wait til it's a car!!!!! :-)
